How it works
A new country arrives at midnight UTC and everyone gets the same one, so the share grid means the same thing to a friend in another time zone. Your streak, win rate and results live only in this browser.
The clues run from hard to easy on purpose: area alone narrows the field to a handful, population usually settles it, and if you are still guessing at the capital you have learned something.
The country list is the usual 197: the 193 United Nations members plus Vatican City, Palestine, Kosovo and Taiwan. Continents follow the UN geoscheme, so Russia, Cyprus and Kosovo count as Europe, Turkey and the Caucasus as Asia, and Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean as North America.
Borders come from Natural Earth, populations from the World Bank, areas and capitals from the open countries dataset, all rounded reference figures. Everything is static JSON drawn in your browser: no account, no server, nothing you type leaves the page.
